Plans for a Future

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

It feels so good to be encouraged by someone you look up to, someone who roots you on, someone who believes you can complete the task before you. Well God is in your corner doing just that, rooting for you. He knows the future and His plans for us are good and full of hope. As long as He provides the agenda and is with us as we fulfill His mission, we an have hope that knows no bounds. This doesn't mean that we will never be touched by pain, sickness, poor relationships, job loss, divorce, domestic violence, cancer, or other trials, but it does mean we can rest assured God will see us through to a glorious conclusion.

Feel free to post comments of instances God has brought you through your trials.

This came at a great time! You know it is amazing how even in your mess (even if it is your own fault), God will still say how much He desires to be Good to us and have a plan for our lives, even if we are not walking in that plan it is still available if we would just join Him in all of His Glory. Thanks for the post. I was on a rampage last night until this morning, and now God said, "REMEMBER". God, I remember and everything that was bothering me is no more! Thank you God for the Plan for us!

In 2005 I found myself in one of those "I'll never do that" situations. Well not only did I do "it", I planned it out. Needless to say I created a hot mess.

But God...He is so faithful even when we are not. He snatched me out before I could figure out an escape route. From that He birthed a writing ministry.

There were so many times I could have missed a true opportunity to KNOW my Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior. You see from birth the devil had a plan for me and everyday of my life he tried to execute that plan. There were times when I help him. But from birth God had a plan for me too and as He continued to snatch me from the pits of hell, He allowed me to know that His plan, path and purpose is all that matters. Victory is yours Jesus. I praise Him because now I know HIM.

Wanda it's funny that you would say that. I was in a deliverance service on yesterday and we talked about just what you said. It's called an inner vow. Promising yourself you won't do something and yet doing just what you said you wouldn't do.

I learned that first of all when we make these vows, we do so usually judging someone else, thinking that what they are doing is so wrong so we vow never to be like them or never to do what they are doing. Basically being judgmental. The problem is we usually make this vow to ourselves and then try to use our on strength to accomplish it rather than trusting God to help us and asking Him to lead us not into the temptation. Thanks for sharing.

Anonymous you are so right. The enemy does have plans for us. But if we choose to allow God to order our steps we can rest assured that He will not lead us into temptation and that He will deliver us from the evil one. God Bless and thanks for sharing
